Why wheelchair scales?

Measuring the weight of wheelchair users are made easy with the wheelchair scales, which have proved to be a great device for hospitals, nursing homes, retirement homes, and also for home care givers. With these scales, wheelchair users are prevented from the tedious task of stepping up on a regular weighing scale, and hence they ensure maximum comfort for people with compromised mobility. All a health-care professional has to do is just push the person onto the scale and the readings are delivered instantly, here users can opt for the conventional medical beam type of measurement or the digital unit as per their need and convenience. The reading is the weight of both wheelchair and the person, and hence the weight of wheelchair has to be subtracted from the reading to get the person's actual weight. Not just comfort, by doing this way wheelchair-bound people are prevented from injuries and strain is reduced for the assisting staff. As wheelchair scales feature a small ramp, people with injured legs and feeble knees can also comfortably use them.
