When you do natural style of child photography it is better to have some formal shots as well, this way you have different styles of pictures to include in the portfolio. As a photographer its is vital to check with the kid's parents whether they are interested to be in few photos, and if they say yes then go ahead and make necessary arrangements.

Unlike informal photography, formal photo shoots need much attention and here are few things that you need to take care while setting up the room for a photo shoot. There may be coffee mugs, cups, and such general items that may spoil the beauty of the photograph, so take them away, like wise tangled cables and mismatching lights should be excluded.

Reflection from light source can ruin the photo, in case of digital camera you can do few tests before going in for the actual shot and figure out which are problems in the room.
