‘Too much work and too little time’

Earlier job completion took more time as things were done manually, but over the period of time everything became automated. Nevertheless, the technical advancements have reformed the entire working process, but the problem of shortage of time still persists. No doubt, these advancements have introduced many opportunities, but along with these prospects comes load of responsibility and endless work.

The reason why people always feel that work is more and time is less; is because there is lack of management. The term management does not only refer to managing of men or workforce; it also means managing oneself. Managing oneself is greatly associated with two questions;

1: How to get work done in most efficient manner?
2: How to complete work within minimum time frame?

These types of questions are well answered in time management courses. Time management courses are basically kind of trainings that helps the person learn to organize their work and life. Often we find ourselves failing to do justice with our work and life due to shortage of time and this leads to more complications.

The core concept behind time management courses is to make people aware about the common problems or rather the reasons causing the shortage of time and how they can be eliminate by making small changes.

Plan your day in advance: Professionally it is good to schedule the next day in advance. Since, there are many activities that are required for an individual to perform in their working time, it is good to make a plan for the following day before leaving for home or before sleeping. This will help the person not to waste time in between.

Keep track of your activities: It is good to maintain record of one’s daily activities as this will facilitate in building an effective plan for the next day. By maintaining a record the person will not miss any important personal and professional engagement and will rather handle and complete them on time.

Keep the work place clean and organized: Often it happens that if things are not kept properly then at the time they are required the most, they are lost and the failure to locate them at right time usually make things worse. If things are kept at their right place and in an organized manner, then one can save a lot of time. This will help in avoiding last minute hassle and help getting work done efficiently on time.

Remove distractions: While working, often people use different gadgets that distract them from their work and hence, this leads to wastage of time and resources as well. While working we should use these gadgets judiciously and save time.

These little tips helps people have more professional approach towards their work and make them learn to manage themselves well and complete the work on time, even if they are piled with work.
