Wheelchair Scales

Known to be a device for measuring weight of wheelchair bound people, a wheelchair scale precisely gives accurate readings with the help of a digital readout or a medical beam type of measurement. Useful in retirement homes, nursing homes, doctor’s clinic or even in a patients home, these scales are easily portable from one place to other. These are embedded with built-in wheels that makes them conveniently rolled up to anywhere, and has a removable indicator recessed on its side, through which the measurements can be easily read out from above.

The wheelchair scales are quite useful for measuring weight of people who are unable to climb those general weighing scales and thus prefer visiting the doctors that have these specialized wheelchair scales. Once the patient on wheelchair is pushed onto the scale, the machine determines the weight of both and then the wheelchair weight is subtracted to reveal the patients weight.

These scales not only keep the person on wheelchair away from the pain and discomfort that they might face while being lifted up onto a traditional scale, but also safeguards the staff assisting them from injuries and strain.
