For A Good Night’s Sleep

When it comes to taking care of patients confined to the bed for prolonged periods of time, hygiene is a very important factor to consider. Prolonged confinement to the bed leads to skin breakdown and friction burns. The moisture retention between bed and the individual’s skin can lead to small ruptures, cracks, which can slowly lead to bigger wounds. Sores are most common manifestations of this condition. Sores also run a very high risk of contracting infection.

For caregivers, keeping the individual dry and clean while on the bed is a challenge. While powders and dry pads are of help, they are not entirely efficient in preventing sores. A bubble pad system, on the other hand, does just that.

Bubble pads such as the Alternating Pressure Relief Bubble Pad System are perfect for patients who cannot reposition themselves frequently or are at a risk of skin breakdown. It provides comfort and hygiene to the patient. An extra lightweight pump with a high capacity output and adjustable pressure settings creates the most comfortable sleeping experience for the individual, accommodating his or her preferences.
Alternating Pressure Relief Bubble Pad System is specifically designed for the treatment of pressure sores stage 1 and 2, as well as for their prevention. It comes with a convenient pressure knob that can adjust the comfort range in 8 different levels. Pressure range of 50-150mm Hg is optimum for the complete comfort of the individual. The bubble pad is made up of 11-guage textured PVC with a weight capacity of 300 lbs. The pad comes in sizes of 34’wx78’lx2.5’h and comes with a year’s warranty on the pump and 120 days on the pad.

The bubble pad improves circulation for a good night’s sleep with about 130 bubble-cells that alternately inflate and deflate. The quiet pump with adjustable setting works all night long to provide an entirely disturbance free sleep. Securing extension flaps on both sides prevents any accident of the individual tripping over. With a bubble bed, pain of sores also gets minimized.

It is very important to wipe clean the individual’s body and ensure that the skin remains dry at all times when movement is confined to a bed. A bubble bath helps in reducing this. Alternating bubbles in the pad ensure that no single part of the skin is constantly in touch with the bed, and is aerated enough to dry away any moisture resulting from continuous contact and sweat. This is the perfect choice to make life that much easier for the patient as well as the care giver.
