Wheelchair Trays

For a disabled person living a normal life has become far easier due to innovations by medical equipment makers. Whether it is a wheelchair tray or walker trays or power wheelchairs device manufacturers constantly come up with new designs in mobility aids and accessories to help people with disabilities. Some of the designs can even be rigged up at home without having to spend a lot on purchasing them.

Wheelchair trays for instance can be made at home using light weight rectangular board, broom clamps, and PVC pipes. These are particularly handy for kids in a school cafeteria who want to carry their lunch on a tray. Mobility trays are also available in the market if you don’t fancy making one at home.

Before setting out to buy one it is important to consider the reason for a purchase. Will the tray be used to sit and have lunch in front of the television or is it for securing your keys. The reason to consider the practical use of buying a wheelchair tray is because of the options available on the market. Flat-top, table like trays are good if this will be used for having a meal whereas for those who are active there are other models to consider. A caddy style walker tray for instance allows you to carry a cell phone, a beverage, and even secure keys.
