Portable mini compressor Nebulizer to breathe easy

Life is full of decisions to make. When it comes to buying medical equipment, it becomes the most important decision of life. Especially while buying equipment to help you breathe properly. Breathing difficulties can be caused due to medical conditions like cystic fibrosis, asthma and other conditions. With the technology improving day by day the variety of brands are also on the increase. While shopping for nebulizers it is important to consider certain factors, like whether you want to go for compressor model or ultrasonic. Also it is vital to choose between tabletop or portable, and valved or non-valved types. In simple words select a nebulizer that fits your lifestyle.

Consult your physician before deciding to invest in a nebulizer. Unless your physician recommends a nebulizer do not buy one. For asthmatic problems an inhaler will do, but of course this again depends on what stage you are in. There are two types of nebulizers conventional compressor or ultrasonic nebulizer. Conventional nebulizers are noisy. They work on an air compressor that triggers medication into mist form. They are also called Jet nebulizers. They are as effective as any other nebulizer and are less expensive. In Ultrasonic nebulizers high frequency sound vibrations are used to convert medication into mist. Most of the ultrasonic nebulizers need water to function. These operate quietly unlike a compressor nebulizer. They are quick and the particles produced are uniform in size. That is why ultrasonic nebulizers send the medication deeper into your lungs. People suffering from cystic fibrosis must use ultrasonic models for better relief. This has been proven clinically.

After choosing between conventional and ultrasonic nebulizers it is important to decide on valved or non valved nebulizers. Non-valved is the most common type. These have to be changed on a monthly basis. They can be used with a mouthpiece or a mask. The non valved kits will work with any type of nebulizers. Coming to valved kits they offer more medication and hence the treatment is faster. The reason being the particle sizes in the mist are uniform. Valved kits are reusable and can be changed twice in a year. They need to be used with only a recommended nebulizer.

Last but not the least you need to come to a decision on non portable and portable nebulizers. Portable nebulizers are expensive; buy them if you can afford one. They are easy to use and can be carried wherever you go. They are battery operated nebulizers and can fit inside your bag. Non portable model costs less and can be used only at home. These are called tabletop models.
