Types of anti-asthma portable medication devices:

Asthma is a chronic respiratory disorder and to make sufferers' life easier there are various types of devices designed and manufactured by medical equipment companies. Of the different devices available to chose from inhalers and nebulizers are prominent. Inhalers, which are made to deliver asthma medication, are of two types, namely metered dose inhalers (MDI) and dry powder inhalers, and the former type is widely recommended. Nebulizers are also used for the purpose of administering liquid anti-asthma medication, and these units are operated either via electric or battery. A face mask is used with these medical devices to inhale medication directly into lungs, and since portable nebulizers are used by people of all ages they come in varied sizes and shapes. When portable nebulizers are preferred over inhalers for asthma medication is because the former is very easy to especially for kids, all the user has to do is sit still and fit the mask into his/her mouth and nose and inhale.
