Pocketing Asthma Treatment

Asthma is a chronic disease that needs to be given ongoing treatment. This lung disease inflames and narrows the airways and its symptoms include recurring bouts of wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, and coughing. You can never be sure what triggers an attack, and this is what makes it such a dreaded disease. Dust, pollution, tobacco smoke, exertion, certain kinds of food anything can trigger an attack. Imagine being stranded in a remote area with no access to medication or having to travel long distances without drugs. This is where a pocket nebulizer comes in handy.
Carl F. Adam invented the pocket-sized nebulizer in 1835. His idea for this medical device resulted in studies of prior inventions that produced similar results. A nebulizer is a device that is used to administer medication, liquids for instance, in the form of a fine mist that is inhaled into the lungs. Nebulizers are commonly used for treatment of cystic fibrosis, asthma, COPD and other respiratory diseases.
The common technical principle for all nebulizers including the pocket variety is to use oxygen or compressed air or ultrasonic power, as a means to break up medical solutions/suspensions into small aerosol droplets. This facilitates direct inhalation of the medication from the mouthpiece of the device. The small nebulizers use 2AA batteries and a user can use this in any direction to inhale the medication. This portable nebulizer is extremely handy and a must-have for chronic patients suffering from asthma.
